Cam Sprag Clutches contain precision formed cams made from high quality steel, hardened, then precision finished to eliminate distortions that occur during hardening. The unique finishing process ensures a smooth cam surface providing uniform contact with both races for even load distribution and prolonged clutch life. Heavy duty bearingsa re.built in to accomm.odathei gh radial and axial loads,so ensuring concentricity under all running conditions. The clutches are designed to mount directly on through shafts, torque being transmitted by a matching key provided with each stock bore clutch; the outer race incorporates tapped holes in the end faces to enable the fitting of gears, sprockets, pulleys and other equipment.
Except for MG series all clutches are fitted with high temperature lip seals for high speed overrunning with oil lubrication, or if against special order with grease lubrication.
